We offer the ArcheryGB-approved KMAC Beginner’s Course for anyone wishing to make archery their new sport. This course covers all the basics of archery, including safety protocols. Full equipment hire is included in the course fee. We have 3 ArcheryGB qualified archery coaches within the club. This course is suitable for absolute beginners and you need no prior experience.
If you are interested in learning archery with our beginners course and would like more information, or to be added to the waiting list, please message “Beginners” via our contact form. Our courses are open to both adults and juniors (8+). Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Places on the courses must be pre-booked with us and we cannot accept anyone who turns up at the course without completing the application form. Application forms are sent to the waiting list once the dates for the next course are confirmed.
KMAC is serious about safeguarding and taking care of the well-being of all its members and guests. All courses contain important information regarding safety on the range and when dealing with archery equipment. You can read more about our safeguarding protocols here.
Taster Sessions
KMAC offers taster sessions for those who want to try archery before signing up for a course. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a new skill, have a great evening out and see whether archery is something you’d be interested in pursuing. If you find that you’d like to continue with archery, we recommend moving on to our beginner’s course.
All equipment is included for the duration of the taster session.
Please note that we do accept group bookings, please contact us to discuss this, mentioning which session date you are interested in and the size of your group.

Beginners Courses
Our next archery beginners course runs on:
13th July 13.00 – 17.00
20th July 13.00 – 16.00
27th July 13.00 – 16.00
The course runs for 3 consecutive weeks and you must attend all sessions to complete the course. Parking and toilet facilities are available on site. Please bring your own food and drinks. This course is held at our summer venue at Jubilee Playing Fields. As this is an outdoor venue weather can be unpredictable – please ensure to dress for the weather but bring a coat/umbrella just in case.
The course price is £65 and is a one-off payment. There is also an additional cost of £60 for the equipment hire which is fully refundable.
